Day 1 - Arrive Bogotá
Welcome to Colombia and the start of your adventure. You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel for check in. The remainder of the day is free to start exploring.
With a population of 7 million, Bogota is the largest city in the country and the centre of everything from politics to sport. With the dramatic Andean peaks looming in the background, Bogota radiates classic colonial charm while modern and sophisticated businesses are popping up by the second.

Day 2 - Bogotá City Tour
Today you enjoy a half day tour discovering some of Bogota's highlights. You will see the historical centre known as La Candelaria, adorned with colonial buildings and vibrant street art. You will visit the famous Plaza de Bolivar, dominated by the beautiful cathedral. The tour will take you to the Botero Museum, filled with art from this esteemed Colombian artist, known for his rotund paintings. You will also explore the Gold Museum, which has a permanent exhibition of 32,000 pieces of gold.
Bogota has a fantastic street art scene. You will meet a graffiti artist who will tell you about this artistic movement and will be able to see a number of dynamic and colourful pieces.
The evening is at your leisure to enjoy one of the many delicious restaurants dotted around the city.

Day 3 - San Agustin

Day 4 - San Agustin

Day 5 - Alto de los Idolos, Salto del Mortino & Armenia
This morning you will visit Alto de los Idolos, another important archaeological UNESCO World Heritage Park. You will see some of the statues found here before continuing to the spectacular Mortino Waterfalls. Enjoy lunch and admire beautiful views of the landscape before transferring to Armenia, the gateway to Colombia's coffee region.

Day 6 - Cocora Valley & Salento
Waking early you will be taken to the Cocora Valley where you have the choice to hike or horseride throug h the cloud forest. You will cross the Quindio River and you will see the famous Quindian Wax Palm trees, the tallest wax palms in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for hummingbirds and the endemic yellow-eared parrot.
Drive to Salento where you can enjoy a tour of the town, admiring the colourful buildings and picking up a gift or two in the handicraft shops. Spend some time soaking up the regional atmosphere before returning to your hotel.

Day 7 - Coffee Plantation Tour

Day 8 - Medellín
Drive to Medellín, known as the city of 'Eternal Spring' due to its pleasant temperature. You will be taken on a tour of the city where you will learn about the social transformation that has occurred. Medellin used to be one of the most dangerous cities in the world, now it is a vibrant metropolis, with growing commerce and integration. You will see the many barrios as you take the cable-car across the city and you will discover the famous España Library Park.

Day 9 - Medellín
Today is yours to spend as you please. There are numerous parks and plazas in Medellin waiting to be explored, such as Parque Berrio, Jardin Botanico or Parque Explora, which features Latin America's largest freshwater aquarium. Spend your evening in Parque Lleras, the best place in the city for restaurants, bars or nightclubs. Try Medellin?s most traditional dish, the bandeja paisa. A hearty plate of rice, eggs, meat, beans and avocado, the servings are usually huge and can be shared between two, but are one of the most important dishes in the region and should not be missed!

Day 10 - Guatapé
Take a day trip to the colourful village of Guatape. It is famous for the Penol Boulder, a 200 metre high monolith. Climb its steps and be rewarded with breath-taking views over the village and the surrounding lakes. You can enjoy a typical Colombian lunch on the waterfront and even take a boat across the reservoir

Day 11 - Santa Marta
Catch a flight to Santa Marta, the oldest city in Colombia. The city has an important historical centre and a beautiful old town, and is a popular destination for Colombian tourists. It is also your base for a day trip to Tayrona National Park.
Enjoy a half day tour of Santa Marta beginning at Santa Marta Bay. You will see the monument to the Tayrona gods before visiting the Casa de la Aduana Museum where you will further Tayrona artifacts. This culture was established long before the Spanish arrived in Colombia. You will see the beautiful villa where Simon Bolívar passed away and also take a tour of the fishing village in Taganga.

Day 12 - Tayrona National Park
Tayrona National Park is a slice of paradise in Colombia. Hike through tropical jungle keeping an eye out for monkeys before arriving at one of the most beautiful beaches in the park. You will have a chance to swim and relax on the sun-kissed sand before returning to Santa Marta in the afternoon.

Day 13 - Fly to Cartagena
Your final destination in Colombia is the colourful city of Cartagena. This beautiful colonial city became one a gem for the Spanish and to protect it they built one of the largest wall fortresses in the Americas. You will be taken on a panoramic city tour where you will first enjoy views of the city from the 'La Popa' Monastery. You will stroll through the walled city, boasting beautiful balconies on buildings adorned with flowers. It is also an artisians' centre, showcasing many handicrafts and boutiques.
The next day you have free to make the most of Cartagena. You could visit the nearby Rosario Islands or sample one of the many high-end restaurants .
